Australian shoppers keep arriving at this category with a United States price in their head. The floor here is $7,499. That is the cheapest home food freeze dryer any Australian reseller had in stock at an AUD price when we checked, and everything below is the rest of that field: 24 listings from 4 resellers, priced in Australian dollars, on machines built for an ordinary Australian power point.
Prices, stock and specifications checked 10 September 2026
Two markets, never one column. Harvest Right's own storefront is a United States store selling a 110 volt machine, with no Australia option in its country selector and instructions for non-US buyers to phone or email instead of checking out. Australian resellers hold 240 volt machines that run from a standard 10 amp Australian outlet with no step-down transformer. Those are different products, so USD prices never appear in an AUD table on this site. The 4 US listings are covered separately on the Harvest Right page.
Sorted by price. Everything in this table is priced in Australian dollars by a seller holding Australian stock. Blank cells are not gaps in our research: they are figures the seller does not publish, and there are more of them than you would expect at these prices.

Every machine you can buy here, in AUDSourced, dated, checkable
7 of the 24 listings were marked out of stock when we checked them, which is why availability has a column of its own. The pattern is not random: the large machines are the ones missing. Both X-Large Harvest Rights were gone, at both sellers, and four of the LYVN X-Large configurations with them. If you have decided you want the biggest machine, expect to wait or to take a factory second. The largest tray count listed here is 10, and it was out of stock; the largest you could actually pay for and receive on the day was a 7 tray machine, LYVN Home Large, 7 tray at $10,499.
The practical consequence is that the shortlist shrinks. Strip out the used stock and the out of stock listings and 15 of the 24 rows above were genuinely buyable that day, spanning $7,499 to $12,990.
Two of the four resellers carry the identical Harvest Right PRO units. They are almost certainly the same operator: the two Shopify catalogues share an accessory list at identical prices down to the cent, use the same delivery wording, and the LYVN warranty terms governing machines sold on freezedryers.com.au are hosted on ozfarmer.com. Despite that, the prices differ on every matched pair, and they differ in the same direction.
| Identical configuration | OzFarmer | freezedryers.com.au | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Harvest Right PRO Large (6 tray), stainless steel | $9,999 | $11,000 | $1,001 |
| Harvest Right PRO Large (6 tray), powder coated black | $9,399 | $10,399 | $1,000 |
| Harvest Right PRO X-Large (7 tray), stainless steel | $15,500 | $16,500 | $1,000 |
| Harvest Right PRO Medium (5 tray), powder coated black | $7,899 | $8,499 | $600 |

The same machine, two pricesSourced, dated, checkable
OzFarmer is cheaper on 5 of the 5 matched pairs, by $600 to $1,001, or $4,201 across the set. Every pair here is new against new: refurbished and factory second stock is excluded from the matching, because grouping a factory second with a new unit would inflate the apparent spread into a figure that is simply not true.
Read that finding knowing who pays us. OzFarmer runs an affiliate program we have not applied to, and freezedryers.com.au has none, so the cheaper seller is also the one that could eventually pay us. That is exactly why it is published as a table of matched configurations you can open in two tabs rather than as an opinion. Check both before ordering.
Price separates these machines by a few hundred dollars. Warranty separates them by years. 6 of the 22 new listings carry 24 months and 15 carry 12. Flo-Max publishes no length at all, and neither of the 2 used listings publishes one either.
Australian Consumer Law guarantees sit on top of any of these and apply to a purchase from an Australian seller regardless of what a manufacturer warranty says. None of the four sellers mentions that on the pages we checked.
The vacuum pump is the component most likely to need work, and it is the one an overseas seller can help with least. Flo-Max Pumps is the only one of the 4 resellers that runs a vacuum pump service operation in Australia, with on-site maintenance across Sydney and off-site rebuilds from a Seven Hills workshop. It is worth saying plainly that Flo-Max has no affiliate program and will never pay us a cent, while two of the sellers it competes with could. The honest qualification is equally plain: those service pages describe industrial pump work and do not name home freeze dryer pumps specifically, and no turnaround time or repair price is published.
Each of these points at a row in the table above, and each carries the condition that would change the answer.
Nobody should buy the Harvest Right Small on the strength of a US review. It is not sold in Australia, which matters because it is the model most of the cheap US coverage is written about.
Across 29 machines in the dataset, the Australian listings are thin in exactly the places a buyer needs. Not one AUD listing publishes a cycle time. One publishes a wattage. Tray area, the figure that actually decides how much fits, is published by nobody selling here. That is not an oversight on our part, it is the state of the category, and the specification gaps are counted here.
What actually separates one machine from another: tray area, pump type, cycle length and the power circuit it needs.

Read moreThe lowest AUD price we could source from an Australian reseller holding stock is $7,499 for the LYVN Home Medium, 5 tray. Below that price there is no home food freeze dryer sold in Australia at all. Cheaper listings that appear in searches are laboratory vacuum equipment, benchtop lab dryers priced on application, or dehydrators, which are a different appliance doing a different job.
The two prices are not comparable and we do not put them in one column. The US store sells a 110V machine, has no Australian market in its country selector, and tells buyers outside the United States to phone or email rather than check out. Australian resellers hold 240V machines that run from an ordinary 10 amp Australian outlet with no transformer. On top of the US sticker you would face freight, GST, possible duty and a brokerage fee, none of which Harvest Right quantifies, and an Australian buyer gets Harvest Right's one year Limited International Warranty rather than the three years advertised on the US product page.
Fewer than the listings suggest. Of the 24 AUD-priced listings we checked across 4 resellers, 7 were marked out of stock on the day, and the X-Large sizes were the worst affected. A price you cannot buy at is not a price, so availability is recorded in the table rather than left out of it.
CryoDry, which publishes 24 months against the 12 months published by OzFarmer and freezedryers.com.au on the Harvest Right and LYVN home machines. LYVN's commercial models also carry 24 months. The caveat is that CryoDry publishes the length but not the conditions: the terms sit in a PDF we could not read, so read it before relying on the second year. Flo-Max publishes the words "Guaranteed warranty" and no length at all.
