Four Australian sellers publish a price for 24 machines, and those prices run from $7,499 to $16,799. That range is wider than it looks, because seven of the 24 were out of stock on the day we checked and two of them are not new. The dearest machine you could have actually ordered was $12,990.
Prices, stock status and published specifications checked 10 September 2026
24 listings, 5 brands, 4 sellers. Prices are AUD exactly as each seller published them, read from their own store catalogues and cross-checked against the rendered product page. Nothing here is converted from a US figure, and where a seller publishes no number the table says so rather than filling the gap.

Every Australian price, cheapest firstSourced, dated, checkable
One machine is deliberately absent. CryoDry lists a CD60 Elite whose store record returns a zero price, which means price on application rather than free, so there is no AUD figure to record for it. Freight is absent too, from every row: zero of the 24 listings publish a delivery cost. OzFarmer calculates it at checkout against live courier rates and asks buyers to phone for a freight quote, and none of the other three publishes a figure anywhere.
Seven of the 24 listings, 29 per cent of the published market, were marked out of stock when we checked: 6 at Freezedryers.com.au and 1 at OzFarmer. They are not scattered evenly through the range either. Every one of the six listings priced above $12,990 was unavailable, so the top of this market exists as a price list rather than as stock.
The real buying range on the day was $7,499 to $12,990, not $7,499 to $16,799. If you want one of the largest machines, treat the published price as the start of a conversation about a lead time nobody publishes. None of these four sellers states a restock date, and only one publishes a dispatch time at all.
Two of the 24 are used or factory second units, both at OzFarmer. They are worth knowing about, because they are the only way into the larger sizes below the new price, and they are worth separating, because quoting one against a new machine invents a discount that is not a discount.
| Listing | Seller | Price | Cheapest new, same size | Difference | Warranty |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harvest Right PRO Large (6 tray), stainless steel, refurbished | OzFarmer | $7,999 | $9,399 | $1,400 | not published |
| Harvest Right PRO X-Large (7 tray), stainless steel, factory second | OzFarmer | $12,500 | $15,500 | $3,000 | not published |
Two of the listings are not new stockSourced, dated, checkable
Note the last column. Both new and used are sold by the same seller, and the new listings carry a published warranty length while these two carry none. The difference in the price column is real; what it buys you in cover is not published.
Five configurations are listed new by both OzFarmer and Freezedryers.com.au. Same brand, same model, same tray count, same finish, same pump. OzFarmer is cheaper on every one of them, by $600 to $1,001. OzFarmer runs an affiliate program we are not part of, which is exactly why this is shown as a table you can open both tabs and check rather than as a recommendation.
| Configuration | Cheaper | Price | Dearer | Price | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harvest Right PRO Large (6 tray), stainless steel | OzFarmer | $9,999 | Freezedryers.com.au | $11,000 | $1,001 |
| Harvest Right PRO Large (6 tray), powder coated black | OzFarmer | $9,399 | Freezedryers.com.au | $10,399 | $1,000 |

| Harvest Right PRO Medium (5 tray), stainless steel | OzFarmer | $8,899 | Freezedryers.com.au | $9,499 | $600 |
The same machine, listed twice, at two pricesSourced, dated, checkable
Refurbished and factory second units are excluded from every pair above. Including them would have inflated two of these comparisons into numbers that are simply not true, because a used machine sitting under a new one at a different seller is not a cross-seller price difference. Every pair here is new against new. The seller-by-seller picture, including warranty and who will repair a vacuum pump in this country, is on the resellers page.
The price is the easy part. The figures you would need to work out what a machine actually costs to own are mostly missing from Australian listings, and the gaps are almost total rather than patchy.
| Specification | Australian listings publishing it | What it decides |
|---|---|---|
| Tray count | 22 of 24 | A rough proxy for capacity, and the only capacity figure most of them give |
| Warranty length | 21 of 24 | What happens when the pump or the compressor fails |
| Tray area | 0 of 24 | How much food actually fits, which tray count alone does not tell you |
| Power draw in watts | 2 of 24 | Half of any running cost calculation |
| Cycle time in hours | 0 of 24 | The other half, and the thing that decides how many batches a week you can do |
| Dry weight out per batch | 0 of 24 | The only weight that compares against a retail price for freeze dried food |
| Delivery cost | 0 of 24 | Whether the price on the page is the price you pay |
What none of them publishSourced, dated, checkable
Zero Australian listings publish both a wattage and a cycle time, which is the pair of numbers a cost per batch is made from. The two machines that publish a wattage are the CryoDry CD8 Home and CryoDry CD8H, at 1920 watts, and neither publishes how long a cycle runs. So a per-batch running cost cannot be derived honestly from Australian figures, and this site does not invent one by borrowing the United States specification and presenting it as though it described the 240 volt machine sold here.
Each of these takes one part of the question and publishes the working, including the parts where the honest answer is that the number does not exist.

Read moreBetween $7,499 and $16,799 across the 24 listings four Australian sellers publish a price for. The cheapest is a LYVN Home Medium, 5 tray at Freezedryers.com.au. The practical ceiling is lower than the headline one: the dearest listing that was actually in stock when we checked was $12,990, because every machine above that was unavailable.
Not from these four sellers. The floor across all 24 Australian listings is $7,499, which is the LYVN Home Medium, 5 tray at Freezedryers.com.au, and nothing in the set is cheaper. Listings you will find well below that figure are almost always vacuum chambers, laboratory equipment or food dehydrators rather than a machine that freezes and sublimates a batch on its own.
OzFarmer, on all five configurations that OzFarmer and Freezedryers.com.au both list new. The gap runs from $600 to $1,001 on the same brand, model, tray count, finish and pump. Buying the dearer listing on all five would cost $4,201 more in total.
Almost none of them. Two of the 24 Australian listings publish a wattage, zero publish a cycle time, and zero publish both. Without both figures a cost per batch cannot be worked out from Australian data at all, which is why the running cost page publishes a cost per hour and says so.
